Update 3

On November 14, 2012 approxiamately at 9:00 am another observation was made with Dr. Kenneth McFarland and myself.  At this viewing the following identifications were made.  Figure 1 is a picture of a Cladocera, aka water flea.

In this next video you will see a actinosphaerium.  You will see in this video that a sack builds water then burst.  Listen closely and you can hear my instructor, Dr. Kenneth McFarland, University of Tennessee - Knoxville, explain what is going on.

In this last video you will see an amoeba type orgainism.  You can clearly see the cytoplasmic streaming.  This is the how this organism moves.





Update 2

Today, November 2, 2012, I placed the micro-aquarium back under the microscope.  Two "swimmers" was identified today to be a halteria and rotifer.  Below are two pictures that were taken.

On our next update we will be attempting to capture some video.
